BEN PEARSON of Pine Bluff, Arkansas is considered the godfather of the Bow, Arrow & Broadhead production by most experienced Archers. Ben himself was an Archer, Bowyer, and Fletcher, making his first Bow in the early 1920’s. Ben produced his first business catalog in 1938 which featured only Arrows. His logo “Arrows of Excellence” held true, as most Collectors & Appreciators of Fine, Vintage Archery Equipment know that Ben Pearson produced the nicest and most beautiful Arrows to ever hit Montgomery Wards, hardware stores and the 5 & 10 cent stores during the 1940’s, 1950’s & 1960’s. To compliment his Arrows, and due that he was unable to find suitable Broadheads on the market to his liking, Ben applied for a patent for arrowhead construction in 1938, which was granted the following year. Ben is credited with making a wider variety of Broadheads than any other manufacturer of the 20th century. Perhaps the most famous & still preferred vintage Broadhead today is the Ben Pearson ‘Deadhead’ which has traveled extensively throughout the world by experienced Big-Game Hunters, and have been credited with big-game kills of all types. Over 20 original, vintage Ben Pearson Broadheads are posted on this Website, including the ‘Deadhead’ ~
