UNKNOWN, ROMAN Type of BRONZE HANDLE, GLADIATOR SPATHA SWORD ~ with HEAVY & ORNATE, SOLID BRONZE HILT of Phallic Design with a lot of copper color showing at surface ~ with Early ‘Roman Period’ ROMAN GLADIATOR STYLE Double-Edge BLADE that is contoured on one side & thicker near the Hilt, and being totally flat on the other side. (This method of design helped prevent the Blade from becoming lodged in bone upon impact) ~ The Blade is also ‘Sculptured-Chased’ on the Contoured Side which added a characteristic of integrity to the long Blade… causing it to be less brittle ~ Measuring Approximately 30-1/8 inches overall, with a 1-13/16 inch wide, 23-1/2 inch long, Very-Sharp, Double-Edged Blade, with Double Clipped Point Tip ~ Sword Weighs 4 Pounds, 4 Ounces ~ The Ornate Phallic Designed, Solid-Bronze Hilt being firmly cast around the tang of the Hand-Forged Iron/Steel Blade, making for an extremely solid & reliable Sword ~ The Sword Blade balances at a point Approximately 3 inches in front of the hilt, making for an extremely responsive blade for combat ~ NOTE: This is a Beautifully Excellently-Made, Heavy-Weight, Well-Balanced Fighting Weapon, with an Extremely Sharp Blade with an Armour Piercing Tip ~ ITEM #wea-283 ~
